God bless The Lonely Island. They’re always willing jokesters and jesters, and I mean that in the sense that none of them have that desire many comedy performers have to “be taken seriously someday.”
It’s been a little while since The Wack Album came out, but the guys appeared on Fallon and integrated its host for an ersatz SNL reunion for a performance of “YOLO.” Jimmy Fallon filled in for Adam Levine, and the show’s band, The Roots, ably stepped in to, you know, perform the song. It’s a lot of fun, to the extent that they used the full studio space to turn the performance into a live music video, if you will.
